Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping on Wednesday morning.
An RPD report said at 7:20 a.m. a 40-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were contacted in their camp at Templin Beach Park in the 100 block of Southeast Templin Avenue. It was set up along the bank of the South Umpqua River in Templin Beach Park.
The report said the camp was set up in a prohibited area and in a prohibited manner. The woman was reportedly in possession of a shovel and a machete, which are prohibited in the city’s parks. She was also cited for having prohibited weapons, tools and implements on city real property.
Both people were released after the citations were issued.
