Roseburg Police cited a man for a non-injury crash on Tuesday.
An RPD report said shortly after 5:30 p.m. officers contacted the 20-year-old after he crashed his SUV into a second vehicle in the 600 block of Northeast Clover Avenue. The driver said he took his eyes off the road to get a drink that was in his cupholder and when he looked up, he did not have enough time to swerve and miss the pickup, before hitting it.
Dispatch advised the man was suspended at the misdemeanor level for driving uninsured. The man still did not have insurance at the time of the wreck. He was charged with driving uninsured and failure of a previous violator to file. The man was released after the citations were issued. Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
