A Roseburg man was jailed for a restraining order violation on Wednesday evening.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 6:35 p.m. a victim reported that a 38-year-old had violated his restraining order by calling her at her residence in the 5000 block of Buckhorn Road in the Dixonville area. Records confirmed the restraining order. The man admitted to calling the victim but stated that it was not to talk to her, but to confirm she still had the same phone number.

The man was detained on $5,000 bail.
