A Drain man was jailed following a traffic stop on Tuesday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:00 p.m. deputies attempted to stop the 43-year-old in the area of Drain Section Road and Hergerts Lane, but the man tried to make it back to his residence. Deputies were able to stop the driver prior to his destination.
The report said the man instantly became argumentative and got out of his vehicle, while walking towards deputies. He was detained after a brief struggle. During a search of his person, .5 grams of suspected methamphetamine were reportedly located. The man was transported to corrections. During transport, he allegedly sustained minor injuries to his finger and forehead from intentionally hitting the transport cage in the patrol vehicle.
The man, identified as Adam Childers, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and unlawful possession of meth. He was detained without bail.
