ROSEBURG MAN JAIILED FOR ALLEGED HARASSMENT, RESISTING ARREST

A Roseburg man was jailed for an alleged harassment and resisting arrest incident on Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:25 a.m. 53-year-old Dixon Crosby and a victim got into a physical fight in the victim’s yard in the 200 block of Club Avenue, just north of Roseburg. A deputy observed a large lump and bruise on the victim’s cheekbone.

While trying to interview the subjects, Dixon reportedly stated that there had been no fight, and he attempted to walk to his vehicle. Deputies attempted to detain him, but he allegedly resisted by pulling his arms away and even swung his arm at a deputy’s face. After being placed in handcuffs, Dixon turned and spit on a deputy, which he blocked with a gloved hand.

He was charged with harassment, resisting arrest, second-degree disorderly conduct, aggravated harassment, and attempting to commit a class C felony. Dixon was detained without bail and was released on Monday.
