MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED FOR WARRANTS/DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED

A Myrtle Creek was man was jailed for warrants and for driving while suspended by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office early Thursday.

A DCSO report said at 12:30 a.m. a deputy spotted a vehicle with expired tags near the intersection of Mill Street and Conrad Street in Myrtle Creek. The deputy initiated a traffic stop and identified the 65-year-old. The driver admitted to not having a license. Dispatch advised the man was driving while suspended-misdemeanor and had multiple warrants. Once the warrants were confirmed, the man was taken into custody and transported to corrections where he was lodged. Bail was set at $ 8,000.
