Roseburg Police jailed a woman for reported child neglect on Thursday night.

An RPD report said the 37-year-old allegedly left her 7-year-old child unattended for an hour near the intersection of Southeast Cass Avenue and Southeast Rose Street, downtown. The woman was reportedly on her way home when a citizen called her on Facebook Mesenger about her son. She also allegedly ate at a restaurant in the 600 block of Southeast Jackson Street and left without paying for her meal.

The woman was charged with second-degree child neglect and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $7,500.
