Two people were taken to the hospital following a weekend crash on Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 1:15 p.m. a trooper responded to the wreck at the intersection of Old Highway 99 and Dillard Gardens Road in the Dillard area.

An 82-year man driving a pickup had apparently pulled in a wide spot of the road to attempt a U turn. An 80-year-old woman driving a second pickup was traveling south on Old Highway 99 when the first vehicle pulled out in front of her, causing the accident.

Both drivers were transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center to have their injuries evaluated. A towing company responded to tow both vehicles.
