ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR VIOLATION OF NO CONTACT ORDER

Roseburg Police jailed a man for violation of a no contact order early Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 2:20 a.m. the 58-year-old was stopped for traffic violations in the 2700 block of Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. During the contact, officers saw that the man had a woman as a passenger in his vehicle. Officers learned that there was a no contact order between the pair, with the passenger being the protected party. The no contact order was confirmed, and the man was taken to corrections without incident.

The man was detained without bail. He was also cited for driving while suspended, driving uninsured, and failure of a previous violator to file.
