Roseburg Police cited a man Thursday for a past assault and DUII incident.

An RPD report said in that case 34-year-old Ryan Piazza crashed his vehicle into a pole on Northwest Stewart Parkway while traveling at a high rate of speed. His passenger was injured. Intoxicants were reportedly found on the scene and a warrant was issued to take a sample of Piazza’s blood.

He was cited for third-degree assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving. Piazza was released from the Public Safety Center on Southeast Douglas Avenue at approximately 3:00 p.m.
