Nearly 7 percent of ballots are in for 2025 Douglas County May Special Districts Election as of late Tuesday afternoon.
County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 6.76 percent, or 5.929 ballots have been received. Loomis said that lags 3.65 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the last special districts election in 2023.
It is now six days until Election Day. Registered voters who have not received their ballot should contact or visit the County Elections Office.
There are 15 Douglas County ballot drop sites, including eight drive-up locations. Voters should make sure they have completed both sides of the ballot and have signed their ballot return envelope.
