Roseburg Police jailed a man on the charge of 4th degree assault on Friday.

An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m. officers responded to the 600 block of West Madrone Street regarding an alleged past assault incident. The victim reported that the suspect had grabbed her and pulled her wrist and hand, causing injury and substantial pain. The man admitted to the altercation and was taken into custody without incident.

He was detained on $6,250 bail and was released later in the day.
