Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation and for a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of methamphetamine on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 11:40 a.m. a probation officer was conducting a home visit in the 1400 block of Southeast Pine Street and found the 36-year-old allegedly in possession of about 4.9. grams of meth. Officers were called to the scene to make the arrest.

The man was detained without bail.
