A woman was jailed for an elude incident on Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:05 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop the 43-year-old woman near the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard in Roseburg because she was driving while suspended.

The driver ultimately eluded the deputy by going through the parking lot of a nearby business, and through two other parking lots. The deputy slowed his pursuit due to a large number of pedestrians in the area. The vehicle was located in the parking lot of a store in the 2100 block of Stewart Parkway and was unoccupied.

A review of surveillance footage showed the suspect entering the store and getting picked up a short time later. The woman was ultimately located and taken into custody. She was charged with attempting to elude police in a vehicle, and for being suspended. She was detained without bail.
