ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR HIT AND RUN/DUII INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a woman for a hit and run/DUII incident on Saturday morning.

An RPD report said shortly before 10:00 a.m. officers received a report of a hit and run accident in the 3300 block of Northwest Aviation Drive. While enroute. The SUV was reported twice for reckless driving complaints.

Officers located the vehicle at the driver’s residence. During an investigation, 49-year-old Mandy Ruddy admitted to leaving the scene of the accident. Additionally, officers noticed signs of marijuana intoxication. Ruddy consented to standard field sobriety tests which she reportedly performed poorly. She was placed under arrest. While being taken into custody, the woman allegedly used her fingernails to claw at officers. Ruddy was transported to corrections where she allegedly refused to provide a urine sample. A search warrant was applied for and granted. Ruddy was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center for a legal blood draw.

She was returned to jail and charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver-property damage, driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, resisting arrest, two counts of harassment, and refusal to take tests. Ruddy was detained on $33,750 bail.
