ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOR STOLEN VEHICLE INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was jailed for a stolen vehicle incident on Tuesday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 8:00 a.m. a deputy located a stolen vehicle at the Lookingglass Store in the 7300 block of Lookingglass Road.

The vehicle was occupied by a 32-year-old man and a 63-year-old Medford man.

The younger man identified as Andrew Eastep. admitted to stealing the vehicle and he was taken into custody. He was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first degree theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. Eastep was detained without bail.

The Medford man was taken into custody for a parole violation warrant. He was released later in the day.
