ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL WOMAN FOR ALLEGED MISCHIEF, RESISTING ARREST INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a woman following an alleged mischief incident on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 4:20 p.m. officers contacted 69-year-old Sherry Amos in the 600 block of West Harvard Avenue regarding a previous incident in which she allegedly had spray painted the side of a building.,

When officers arrived, Amos reportedly walked into the middle of Harvard Avenue and refused to move, causing several vehicles to stop in the middle of the road. While being taken into custody, Amos allegedly attempted to kick officers several more times and was not compliant. She was transported to corrections and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct. Amos was detained on $5,000 bail.
