While the Douglas County Commissioners, County Emergency Management Team, and other county staff work with evaluation and assessment teams from Oregon’s Office of Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Administration this week, local recovery efforts continue.
Douglas County has partnered with Glide Revitalization to be the Long-Term Recovery Group for the recent flood event. A county release said Glide Rev’s experience and knowledge in developing and managing a long-term recovery effort for the 2020 Archie Creek Fire laid the groundwork for the non-profit agency that exists today. Glide Rev is a federally designated LTRG working to support communities impacted by disasters.
For property owners and business owners impacted by flooding, every action taken strengthens the county’s case for critical state and federal support. The county has provided a 1-2-3 Flood Recovery Action Plan.
*1- Complete the Douglas County Flood Damage Assessment Survey. This helps document the widespread impact and is required for assistance.
*2 – Fill out the Long-Term Recovery Group form via Glide Revitalization
*3 – Send photos of damage to Douglas County Emergency Management
Links to file all of these are posted on the March 2025 Flood Event Information page on the county government website: https://www.douglascountyor.gov/
