Roseburg Police jailed a man for a pizza theft incident on Friday night.

An RPD report said at approximately 6:50 p.m. officers contacted the 49-year-old in the 500 block of Southeast Jackson Street after a caller said the man had stolen a pizza from a nearby business. The man allegedly had pizza on his face and was actively chewing on some of it but denied having any pizza. He was taken into custody without incident.

The man was charged with third-degree theft. He was detained on $1,250 bail.
