In the KQEN Business Spotlight:
Its “crunch time” for getting Roseburg’s new Del Taco store open.
That is the word from Del Taco/Cactus Enterprises Director of Operations Erick Marsh.
Marsh told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that construction on the building on Northwest Stewart Parkway is coming along nicely. Marsh said there have been some delays with the project, mostly due to the weather, but it has made great progress in just the last few weeks. Marsh said the furniture package should be arriving later this week. He hopes that Del Taco will be open by the middle of May.
Marsh said a few of the new employees are in management training at other locations around the state. Cactus Enterprises is still looking for a few more shift managers and Marsh hopes that one of them will stand out and take the assistant store manager position.
The hiring of crew members will begin in the next couple of weeks. Crew members will start out at $14.25 per hour with a raise happening in July. Shift managers will start out at $16 with a raise once they go through a certification process. Candidates can apply at www.deltaco.com/careers.
The original Roseburg Del Taco, in the same location, was destroyed in a fire in July of 2022. The new building will be just over 2,300 square feet with seats for 48 people in the dining room, along with a drive-through. Cactus Enterprises also operates 6 other Del Taco stores in Oregon: Salem, Albany, two in Medford, Klamath Falls and Bend.
