A Winston man was jailed for 2 counts of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon on Monday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:50 a.m. a victim had a party at their house which turned into a physical altercation at a shop in the 1000 block of Byron Creek Road near Winston.
Shortley after, the 64-year-old suspect allegedly confronted the victim outside and pointed a pistol in his face. As he swung the pistol past the victim, he reportedly pointed it at a female, then fired a shot into the ground.
Deputies contacted the suspect driving and took him into custody. A search warrant was served on his vehicle and residence. Two firearms were allegedly seized along with other multiple firearm parts, accessories and ammunition. He was detained without bail.
