Roseburg Police jailed a man Saturday for an alleged prior assault incident.

An RPD report said stemming from an incident on March 18th, which resulted in the victim sustaining a concussion after the 82-year-old suspect, a Riddle man, allegedly recklessly shut a car door on her head, the man was contacted Saturday morning at approximately 11:15 a.m. at the Public Safety Center on Southeast Douglas Avenue.

He was charged with fourth-degree assault and was taken into custody. The man was detained on $6,250 bail.
