WIND ADVISORY FOR REGION FROM 11:00 A.M. TO 11:00 P.M. SUNDAY

March 29, 2025 6:00 p.m. 

A Wind Advisory is in effect from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Sunday for parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of of 25-30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected.

The Advisory Area includes the higher terrain and midslopes of central Douglas County, Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It applies to the Interstate 5 passes between Roseburg and Grants Pass.

Forecasters said gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result.

Due to shower activity, periods of stronger wind gusts are also possible in the valleys, such as in Roseburg, Grants Pass, Cave Junction and other locations along the Interstate 5 and Highway 199 corridors.

Winds this gusty can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists should use extra caution.
