Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a woman for a warrant and a drug law violation on Thursday.
A DCSO report said at 9:40 a.m. while serving an eviction in the 2000 block of Northeast Stephens Street, a 37-year-old transient was located in the living room. A 34-year-old transient was found laying near a pile of clothing. The pile had toes sticking out from the corner and appeared to be a female.
After explaining that the deputy could see the female, the 32-year-old woman arose from the pile. She allegedly had a methamphetamine pipe lying near her feet. The woman admitted that the pipe was hers and said she had a warrant for her arrest. She was detained without incident.
The pipe was later tested and showed positive for meth. The woman was detained for the warrant and for unlawful possession of meth. She was detained on $10,000 bail.
