A Wind Advisory is in effect until 8:00 p.m. Thursday for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected.

The advisory area also includes Josephine County and eastern Curry County. It applies to Roseburg, Grants Pass, Cave Junction, Glendale and surrounding areas, especially over higher terrain.

Forecasters said gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Motorists should use extra caution.
