Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged trespass incident early Thursday.

An RPD report said a few minutes after 12:00 a.m. officers responded to CHI Mercy Medical Center after a caller said a 37-year-old was refusing to leave after being discharged. The man reportedly refused to get out of the hospital bed after being taken outside. Officers had requested that Mercy staff push the man outside while he was still in his bed to prevent any type of disturbance inside the hospital.

Officers were able to get the man handcuffed and placed into a patrol vehicle. He was transported to corrections and charged with second-degree criminal trespass. The man was detained on $1,000 bail.
