Roseburg likely at least tied a record high temperature for the date on Wednesday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a high of near 79 degrees appears likely, after checking reports from nearby communities. The record high for March 26th was 78 degrees, recorded in 2015.
Wednesday was the third day in a row that a record or near record high took place which can’t be officially recorded. Equipment at the Roseburg Regional Airport which captures the official temperature has quit working. Parts have been ordered, and forecasters hope the situation can be fixed in the next few days.
