MYRTLE CREEK MAN JAILED FOR AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT WARRANT

A Myrtle Creek man was jailed for an aggravated harassment warrant a parole violation on Wednesday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:30 p.m. a deputy was driving through the area of the 300 block of South Pacific Highway in Myrtle Creek and was the 28-year-old walking towards his residence. After records check, the deputy learned the man had a valid warrant for his arrest.

When the suspect was placed in the back of his patrol vehicle, he reportedly spit in the deputy’s face. The man was detained without bail.
