Roseburg Police cited three people for prohibited camping early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said just after 1:00 a.m. a 34-year-old woman and a 41-year-old woman were contacted at their camps near the bike jumps in the 500 block of Northeast Stephens Street. Their camps were in a prohibited zone which was a violation of the “place” portion of the time, place and manner ordinance. Both had two prior convictions for prohibited camping. Both were cited and instructed to clean up their camps.

At 1:30 a.m. while conducting a security check in the same area, a 62-year-old man was found to be sleeping in a tent in what is considered a restricted area. The man was also found to be in violation of the “place” portion of the city’s time, place and manner ordinance. He was released after his citation was issued.
