In the KQEN Business Spotlight:
With new owners having recently taken over, there is another change for Waldron’s Outdoor Sports – a different location.
Co-owner Todd Black told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the store is relocating to the building which until recently housed Advanced Auto Parts on Northeast Stephens Street, just north of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard in Roseburg.
Black said the opportunity “came out of nowhere” when the auto parts retailer announced the closure of the Roseburg store. Since Advance shuttered on March 15th, Black and his staff have been preparing to make the move. The new layout is approximately 6,500 square feet and is more wide-open than the current Waldon’s location. Black said this will allow the business to focus more on certain departments in the store, allowing them to become the “go-to” store for those items in Douglas County.
Black said the plan is to keep the current location open while the move is underway. He hopes the business will be fully transitioned to the new building by April 1st.
Black said the new location offers a better parking situation while remaining very visible in a high traffic corridor. Store hours will continue to be weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the business open on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Black said landing at the new location will allow he and his son and co-owner Brody Black to be able to realize some of the added vision they have for Waldron’s Outdoor Sports.
