A transient was jailed for a reported harassment incident on Monday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 7:45 p.m. the 39-year-old woman was called in for allegedly punching a victim numerous times and throwing a plastic bowl at a second victim in the 15000 block of North Umpqua Highway, east of Roseburg.
The first victim did not want to pursue charges, but the second victim did. The transient also returned with a warrant.
The suspect was allegedly uncooperative when contacted and was taken into custody. Sarah Raines was charged with harassment, resisting arrest and the warrant. Raines was detained without bail.
