ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOR DRUG LAW VIOLATIONS

Roseburg Police cited a man for drug law violations on Monday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 3:00 p.m. officers contacted the 37-year-old slumped over in the front seat of his vehicle in the 1100 block of Northeast Walnut Street. The man had burnt foil and a lighter in his hands before officers woke him up. The man allegedly attempted to hide a bag of fentanyl in a storm drain while officers talked with him.

He was cited for unlawful possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence. The man was released from CHI Mercy Medical Center after he was evaluated.
