Roseburg Police charged a man Monday for an alleged past theft incident.

An RPD report said at 1:20 p.m. the 41-year-old was contacted at the jail regarding a theft from a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard on March 21st. The suspect had allegedly been captured on video stealing from the store.

The man refused to speak with officers and was booked and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with third-degree theft and a parole violation. He was detained on $1,250 bail.
