Two people were jailed following a rest area disturbance on Saturday night.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 7:50 p.m. troopers responded to a verbal disturbance at the Cabin Creek Rest Area on Interstate 5, just north of Metz Hill.  They contacted a man and a woman who were sitting in a sedan. Both occupants appeared highly intoxicated. The female admitted to driving and said she had not had anything to drink since she parked her vehicle.

After further investigation, it was determined her vehicle had been involved in a hit and run crash about a mile north, on the freeway. The woman admitted she was involved in the wreck, but did not stop. She was identified as 38-year-old Amber Dymarkowski from Kent, Washington. Dymarkowski was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and failure to perform the duties of a driver with property damage. Dymarkowski was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.

The male passenger was determined to be the respondent in a no-contact order, with the protected person being the driver. The 49-year-old from Calimesa, California was charged with violation of a release agreement. He was detained without bail.
