Roseburg Police cited a man following a reported disturbance on Sunday night.

An RPD report said at 11:50 p.m. the incident was called in, with one person potentially shot, in the 2200 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. Both parties fled the scene, but an officer later located one of the people and identified him as a 35-year-old.

The man claimed that an unknown man had attacked him, and he shot the suspect with a bb gun to deter him. During a search of the man and his vehicle, officers reportedly located a black Glock replica bb gun and a small amount of methamphetamine.

The other party has yet to be identified and was reported to have fled the scene as a passenger of a compact red car. The 35-year-old was cited for the drugs and was released on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
