WILDLIFE SAFARI SEEKING SUPPORT FOLLOWING RAIN/FLOODING

Wildlife Safari is asking for support, following recent damage due to Sunday’s heavy rain and flooding

Executive Director Dan VanSlyke said some parts of the over 600-acre park are now in need of urgent repairs. VanSlyke said some sections of the drive-through remain closed to ensure the safety of guests, staff and wildlife.

Damage includes washed-out roadways and culvert failures, along with the need for extensive repairs requiring heavy equipment and rock reinforcement.

Van Slyke said with the busy summer season approaching, restoring full access to the park is critical – not just for providing the best possible care for animals, but also for ensuring guests can fully experience and connect with wildlife in a safe and accessible way.

Van Slyke said financial help from the community will ensure that, “…Wildlife Safari remains a place of wonder, education and adventure”.

Checks can be sent to Wildlife Safari at PO Box 1600 in Winston, 97496. On-line donations can be made by going to: https://wildlifesafari.net/
