Sutherlin Police jailed a man on multiple charges following a chase early Friday morning.

An SPD report said at approximately 1:50 a.m. Storm Cloud LaDuke-Spaulding was allegedly observed driving recklessly around the City of Sutherlin. His allegedly poor driving had been previously reported in the Cottage Grove area, earlier in the morning.

An officer attempted to stop the man’s vehicle, which resulted in a pursuit. LaDuke-Spaulding ultimately crashed his pickup into a cow pasture in the 6000 block of Nonpareil Road. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for his injuries and a warrant was granted for his blood.

LaDuke-Spaulding was charged with attempting to elude police in a vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief, reckless driving, unlawful possession and delivery of methamphetamine, supplying contraband, and driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was detained without bail.
