The City of Reedsport will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the Forest Hills Pump Station.

The event will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Bicentennial Park.

A city release said the Forest Hills Pump Station project began in June 2023 after the city received a grant of over $2.3 million from the Oregon Community Development Block Grant Program. Reedsport paid the engineering firm, Dyer Partnership, just over $180,000 for the final design, engineering of the construction documents, and procurement for the project.

The contract was awarded to R&G Excavating, Inc. after receiving several estimates to complete the project. The company was contracted to improve the pump station with new wet well, submersible pump and controls, control building, generator, chemical injection system, piping improvements including a new 1,419-foot sewer force main, as well as miscellaneous pump station improvements. The project was complete and finalized earlier this month.
