WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY THROUGH THURSDAY AT 5:00 P.M.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through Thursday at 5:00 p.m. for mountain areas in parts of southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said additional snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are possible. Wind will be gusting as high as 40 miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains. It applies to Crater and Diamond lakes, Lake of the Woods, and the Mt. Ashland Ski Area and well as highways 140, 62, 138, and 230.

Forecasters said travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact commute times.
