Sutherlin Police jailed a man for an alleged menacing incident on Wednesday night.

An SPD report said at approximately 5:40 p.m. 63-year-old Craig Smith became upset with some kids who were outside his apartment in the 1000 block of West 6th Street. Smith allegedly grabbed his clone semi-automatic BB gun and then went outside to confront the juveniles.

The kids ran home and told their parents. Smith was charged with three counts of menacing and for second-degree disorderly conduct. He was detained on $21,250 bail.
