A Roseburg area man was jailed Wednesday night following a reported harassment incident.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 8:30 p.m. the 52-year-old was allegedly intoxicated and chasing subjects in the 4000 blook of Northeast Douglas Avenue, just east of Roseburg.

When the man was contacted, he reportedly became aggressive and allegedly charged at a deputy before punching and grabbing him. Deputies eventually gained physical control of the suspect and took him into custody. He was charged with harassment and detained without bail.
