FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FOR ROSEBURG/SURROUNDING AREAS

A Flood Warning is in effect for Roseburg and surrounding areas as of 8:20 a.m. Sunday.

The National Weather Service said urban areas and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flooding prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

Emergency management is reporting heavy rain with flooding ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 0.8 inches are possible in the warned area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Roseburg, Sutherlin,, Winchester and north Roseburg.
