A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday above 1,500 feet for parts of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said snow is expected above 1,500 feet. Total snow accumulation of one half to two inches. Winds will gust as high as 35 miles per hour.
The Advisory area includes central Douglas County, Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County. This applies to the passes on Interstate 5 between Roseburg and Grants Pass, Camas Mountain Pass, as well as Hayes Hill and portions of Highway 199.
Forecasters said roads are mostly wet but could be briefly snow-covered or slushy and slippery. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.
