ROSEBURG POLICE CITE THREE FOR PROHIBITED CAMPING

Roseburg Police cited three people for prohibited camping between Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 1:00 p.m. officers contacted a 59-year-old man regarding his camp in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street. It was set up during a prohibited time which violated the time, place and manner ordinance.

At 12:20 a.m. officers contacted a 41-year-old in her camp in the 900 block of Northeast Rowe Avenue.  It was outside of the place portion of the ordinance.

At 4:00 a.m. officers contacted a 44-year-old man who was camping in a tent under the footbridge near the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Stephens Street. The area is always restricted to camping, according to the ordinance.

Each of the individuals were released after their citations were issued.
