The Roseburg City Council has a varied agenda for its meeting Monday night.
Councilors will vote on authorizing the city manager to sign the twenty-first extension of the Inmate Housing Intergovernmental Agreement with Douglas County. This would extend the current agreement to June 30th, 2026, and reflects a 4 percent increase from the previous fiscal year. It would change the monthly payment the city makes to the county for housing inmates to $27,040 per month and raises the daily rate for more than 16 inmates by just over $4 per person.
Councilors will consider authorizing the city manager to enter into an IGA with the county for communications services for just over $641,532. The current agreement expires June 30th.
The council will vote on authorizing the use of $50,000 from the general fund to provide cash flow assistance for the off-street parking fund. The vote is also to direct staff to bring back proposals for a 75/25 revenue funding split and obtain bids for changes needed to covert from free to paid parking in downtown.
Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim March Red Cross Month.
An Executive Session, not open to the public, has been scheduled regarding records exempt from public disclosure.
Other items are on the agenda as well. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. It can be viewed on the city’s Facebook page or seen later at www.cityofroseburg.org.
