A Glendale woman died in a vehicle versus pedestrian crash northwest of Medford on Friday morning.

A report from Oregon State Police said a preliminary investigation indicated just after 6:00 a.m. a pickup, operated by a Medford man, was traveling eastbound on Highway 140 near Blackwell Road when it struck a pedestrian. The crash occurred in a non-lit area of the roadway.

The pedestrian, 39-year-old Naomi Hope Gomez, was declared deceased at the scene.

OSP was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
