A Glendale man and woman were charged with a prior trespass incident by the Douglas Count Sheriff’s Office on Thursday morning.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 11:00 a.m. staff with Douglas County Solid Waste contacted a deputy regarding the incident. The deputy obtained evidence of both people trespassing. He also learned that the man had allegedly stolen a saw from the facility in the 200 block of Glendale Transfer Road.
The suspects were identified as a 47-year-old man and a 43-year woman. The deputy went to the man’s residence. After being informed why the deputy was there, the man gave the saw to the deputy and admitted to trespassing. Michael Harting was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal trespass and third-degree theft. He was detained without bail.
The woman was already in custody on a probation violation. She also admitted to trespass and remained in custody without bail.
