Feeding Umpqua has its annual Cheese and Thank You fundraiser underway.
Throughout March, Douglas County eateries are offering special cheesy treats to help ward off the winter blues. Restaurants will donate $2 for each selected sandwich purchased to go to the United Community Action Network’s regional food bank.
Participants can win prizes by collecting passport stamps for each location visited. Those who get 5 grilled cheese items from any of the participating eateries and submit a filled-out passport will be entered into a drawing for a $150 Sherm’s Thunderbird Market certificate. Passports can be dropped off by April 4th at any participating location or at the UCAN office on Kenneth Ford Drive, just north of Roseburg.
