ROSEBURG POLICE CITE MAN FOR PROHIBITED OUTDOOR BURNING

Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited outdoor burning on Monday evening.

An RPD report said at 7:10 p.m. officers contacted the 34-year-old under the Diamond Lake Bridge at the intersection of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard and Northeast Stephens Street after seeing a large plume of black smoke.

The man admitted to burning plastic milk crates to power his metal forge. The fire was extinguished, and the man was being released after receiving the citation.
