Roseburg Police jailed a man Sunday night for two alleged theft incidents.

An RPD report said at 8:00 p.m. officers contacted 49-year-old Mark Bennett near a store in the 500 block of Northeast Winchester Street after he allegedly stole beers from the business. Bennett admitted to stealing the beers and was detained without incident. He was reportedly found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. He was transported to corrections.

A couple of hours later, officers learned that Bennett was reportedly seen on camera stealing merchandise from a store in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway a week after being trespassed from that property by officers. Charges of first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree theft were added. Bennett was held on $12,500 bail.
